our Future

Building the Future Together
These new initiatives are part of All My Realation’s Indigenous Research Centre’s commitment to ensuring that Indigenous research is accessible, meaningful, and community-driven.
The Future of Indigenous Research & Learning
Our Plan
With the future expansion of the Knowledge Makers circle, we are fostering a research culture that includes and uplifts Indigenous voices across all generations.
Through these programs, we aim to create spaces where Indigenous youth, adults, and Elders can engage in research on their own terms—guided by their experiences, knowledge systems, and ways of being. By bridging generations, we are strengthening the pathways for Indigenous knowledge to thrive in academic, community, and global contexts.
As we move forward, we are working in collaboration with Indigenous communities, educators, and knowledge holders to ensure these programs reflect the needs and priorities of those they serve. With the support of our partners, we are excited to grow Knowledge Makers into a lifelong journey of learning, sharing, and leadership for Indigenous peoples of all ages.

Growing the Circle
The Future Has A Path For All Ages
Since its inception, Knowledge Makers has supported Indigenous undergraduate students in becoming researchers and knowledge leaders.
As we look ahead, we are expanding our programming to include Indigenous youth (K-12) and a dedicated space for Elders and adult learners.
Knowledge Seekers: Inspiring the Next Generation
Our K-12 program will introduce Indigenous youth to research, storytelling, and knowledge-sharing in ways that center Indigenous ways of knowing. Through hands-on activities, mentorship, and creative projects, young Knowledge Makers will:
- Learn about research through Indigenous methodologies
- Connect with Indigenous scholars and community leaders
- Develop their voices as knowledge creators and storytellers
- Explore topics that matter to them and their communities
Knowledge Holder
The Knowledge Holder initiative will create a space where Elders and adult learners can engage in research and storytelling. This creates a space for sharing wisdom and lived experiences in ways that shape future generations. Through this program, participants will:
- Contribute their knowledge to academic and community research
- Engage in intergenerational learning and mentorship
- Develop research projects that reflect their stories, histories, and priorities
