Hosted by Knowledge Keepers | For Indigenous & 2SLGBQIA+ Community

Join us for a hands-on, gender-affirming ribbon garment workshop led by Indigenous Knowledge Keepers Bernice Jensen and Susan Oliverius. This space is created by and for Indigenous and 2SLGBQIA+ folks to explore cultural expression, identity, and community through the making of ribbon garments.

Together, we’ll learn traditional teachings, garment-making techniques, and the significance of ribbon work in expressing gender, kinship, and resistance. You are welcome whether you’re reconnecting with your culture, are fully immersed within your culture and identity, or are continuing your personal journey.

Who This Is For:
This workshop is specifically intended for Indigenous and 2SLGBQIA+ participants. All experience levels are welcome.

What’s Provided:

  • Fabric, Ribbons, and any materials for garment making
  • Teachings from Knowledge Keepers
  • Light refreshments (lunch will also be provided)
  • A safe and supportive environment
