Travel Opportunities

With the support of Universities Canada, we are able to create a travel opportunity, once a year, for a group of students to learn about an Indigenous culture from other countries. In the previous two years, 15 undergrad students per year went to Waikato University in Hamilton, New Zealand (Aotearoa). Students were immersed in Māori teachings such as important land, and spiritual, and cultural education.

This program is a part of the Knowledge Maker’s publication program. Students who take part utilize their new cultural knowledge when writing their papers for the next volume of the Knowledge Makers Journal.
