The All My Relations/Knowledge Makers team is looking to add 2 Student Research Assistants to our team starting in October 2026!
Job Title: Student Research Assistant – Knowledge Makers
Location: Thompson Rivers University
Position Type: Contract Part-time (renews every 4 months). Part time flexible schedule that can adapt to your semester.
Wage: $28/hour
About All My Relations: All My Relations is an Indigenous research center that operates within it many programs such as Knowledge Makers, community asked for research projects, TRU based cultural and educational workshops, peer mentorship and many others. We pride ourselves on being student focused and encourage students to lead projects, develop ideas and to turn their passions into both research projects & activities.
Position Overview: Don’t be intimidated by the title of this role! We are looking for people to join our team who hold a variety of skills that can help contribute to the overall success of this center.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a student with a background in research or experience writing research papers, who is passionate about community engagement, and interested in working with Indigenous students.
The first position we are looking to fill will be to contribute to writing components of research projects with guidance, learning how different kinds of research works, and helping host events to support diverse Indigenous learners across campus.
The second role we are looking for is for somebody who loves digital design, marketing, social media and creating content that students can engage with. We are looking for somebody who is happy to bring to life projects by designing posters, creating social media campaigns, learn wordpress website design with our team, and to join in on the success of events.
Preference will be given to applicants who are First Nations, Metis, or Inuit. All Applicants must be students or enrolled at TRU with a T#, undergraduate and graduate students both encouraged to apply!
